Great Holiday Traditions for the Office

Are the Christmas traditions at your office too stale for your own taste? If that is the case, then this list is for you. This year, start a whole new set of office traditions for the Yuletide season.

Adopt a family from the community

Provide a Christmas for a needy family by adopting them. Make dinner arrangements for them, supply them with warm winter clothes, and buy toys for their children. Share the spirit of Christmas with those who are less fortunate and make this season of gift-giving more worthwhile for everyone in the company.

Do volunteer work

Help out at the church or at some cause-oriented group or organization. Make sure that the advocacies you are trying to uphold are in-line with that of the company’s.

Save up for charity

Collect some petty cash from everyone at the office and donate the savings to a local charity. This simple task can make a huge difference to those who are truly in need.

Support a toy drive

Ask everyone from the office to donate old toys and give these to the less-fortunate children. More than anything else, Christmas is the time to make children happy and smiling.

Have an office clothing drive

The people in your office probably have tons of garments and apparels to share with those who can’t afford to buy for themselves for the Christmas season. Ask them to donate clothes that are merely stuck at the back of their closets and make good use of it by giving them out to the people in the streets.

Drop by at the orphanage

Spend some quality time with the young ones at the orphanage. More than the gifts that the people in the company can provide them with, the mere presence of people who can show them care and concern will definitely make their holidays happier.

Sing Christmas carols

Visit nursing homes and serenade the elderly with Christmas carols. Even if you do not know these people personally, having you there with them, even for a short while, can ease their longing for their own families.
