One can blame it on several factors such as environment, social influence and parental guidance just to name a few. Such factors work out to develop the different levels of creativity that individuals are blessed with. And along the way, such factors also help form the type of personalties that are evident in most highly creative people. They try to show traits that make them different. Here are some of them:

Creative people are more unconventional. They do not feel obligated to conform to the standards being set by society. Most of the times, they go against the flow and follow their own way of thinking which others sometimes perceive as weird and strange. They question accepted norms and rules in the society and instead like to follow their own set of rules.

Creative people are highly inventive. They can easily come up with bright ideas and can seem to think up solutions for every problem. They are highly observant of everything that is happening around them. They can easily see a need that may require some filling up. This makes them innovators in their own right.

Creative people are open to different possibilities. They do not set limits on what is acceptable. They do not follow a straight path to achieve an end. They love going through the crooked path instead and see what is in store for them. For them, there are many solutions to every problem, many possibilities for different challenges.

Creative people are highly motivated. Once they think of ideas, they take all measures to make sure that their ideas are effective. They like to set and achieve goals.

Creative people are persistent. They like to finish what they have started. They do not like to leave any stone untouched, every problem left unsolved. They forge on even through the toughest roadblocks. They won’t stop at nothing.

Creative people are risk takers. They like testing their new ideas just to know how it will end up. They like to go into uncharted territories just to see what is out there. They see every idea as a possible solution that may or may not work.

Creative people are confident. They feel that every idea is the solution. They believe in themselves and do not let self-doubt get in their way.

It is not that hard to spot a creative individual. These and other traits make highly creative people look different from ordinary people. The tend to have personalties that other people may think of as weird. But beyond all that weirdness is a creative mind that is becoming a highly valuable asset to many companies today. It is this uniqueness that most companies are trying to look for.

If you do not think of yourself as a creative individual, there is no reason to be sad. Even if you do not seem to have the traits of highly creative individuals doesn’t mean that you are not creative. Everyone is creative in their own way as all humans are naturally creative creatures. And creativity is not something that you are born with. Creativity is something that needs to be developed. It is a skill that needs to be worked on. There are certain exercises that can help you develop your own creativity. No matter what age you are, it is still possible to develop your creative mind. When it comes to improving creativity, there is always hope.
